Results day is looming

Flashback...

I remember this time last year sitting worrying about the 3 letters that are going to be on a piece of paper inside the brown envelope that will determine my future (or at least determine my future for the next year). At the time this seems like those 3 letters are all that matters. A year later, I can tell you they are not as important as you think.

The anticipation running up to the day of results is much worse than the actual day, I remember my mum telling me you will be fine, and everyone telling me not to worry. But how can you not worry about your results and your future? You can't not worry, worrying is natural. It would actually be weirder if you weren't worried or it would mean you know you are a total genius that know they have it in the bag. The most important thing is to not let the worry and anxiety about your results take over your life, its not worth it, trust me!! My friend's mum always says whatever will be will be and I believe this about results and what happens after.

I needed AAB in my A levels which is very high indeed but of course I was hoping to go study law in London so it was to be expected.I remember opening my results and seeing ABC and I was so disappointed, had my self convinced I wasn't going to university and that I was a failure. Then I logged on to UCAS to find out that I did get into my first choice, University of Westminster and was over joyed. So one of my most important tips is to CHECK UCAS FIRST because if you have been accepted into your first choice you really won't care that much what your actual results are.

Unfortunately not everyone gets the news they want. Dont worry about going through clearing, take your time and welcome all the support you are getting from people to help you. Trust me, its not the end of the world going through clearing, I know and have met many people who are university through clearing and love where they are,

Whatever happens you should be super proud of yourself.

How it all started...

Hello to world of Blogging and Bloggers.

So yeah, this is going to be my first blog post. I am writing this before I have even started anything on this blog, haven't set up a template or layout. Just put the name to my blog.

I wanted this to be a raw blog post that I could look back on in many years (if I keep up with blogging that is) and laugh at how stupid and immature this post is (hopefully some of you (if I get readers) will laugh at it too). So why have I decided to make a blog? Well.. I don't entirely know the answer to that yet, I am bored over my summer break from University and the weather isn't great so I thought this would be a creative way to spend my time and energy. I read lots of blogs and watch lot of vlogs, though I myself will never be a you-tuber haha and thought that is something I could give a try to.

So my blog, Student girl daily is going to be about my life. Last year I moved away from my home town  in Bangor, Northern Ireland to the big scary city of London England, honestly it really isn't that scary, trust me. I moved to Wembley and begun my life as independent student studying Law at the University of Westminster. I have completed and survived first year (just about)and i believe from my experience in first year I will be able to give tips to girls just like me going to University. I am going to be giving advice (though I am no way a professional) on trying to stay healthy at university (which I failed at last year so this help to me and you both), budgeting, study tips, living in student accommodation etc. Really I'll write what comes to mind every week and what people ask to for (that's if I ever get readers of this blog). I am also going to be including a bit on my blog about London things to do and see as I do and see them, this is more so I can look back on the memories but I guess people might find that interesting too.

Anyway, this post is really just a mess and bundle of useless information about me and what this blog will be. So now I am going to go and set this up properly.

Hope you have a nice day,

Student Girl, x
